Anger Management

Currently being offered both in-person in Tempe and via Telehealth

Breakthrough is pleased to offer an Anger Management group. Group counseling gives members an opportunity to increase understanding, learn more about the ways they interact, and provides a safe space to try new ways of communicating with others. Members benefit from group therapy by sharing with others and realizing that they are not alone in their struggles. In the group environment, others can serve as mirrors that reflect the characteristics that one may wish to change or eliminate.

It is possible that your insurance may cover the cost. Clients have expressed how useful skills learned have helped them have more empathy, identify and accept their feelings and find ways to address those feelings before they turn to anger. Come and join us!

DBT is an evidenced-based therapy for people who have intense, fast reactions that feel impossible to resist. Core pillars are Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Mindfulness.
